Developed by Microids Studio Paris, the game is a tribute to the late Benoît Sokal, the creator of the renowned Syberia series. Sokal's first major hit was Amerzone, a game that sold over one million copies worldwide and captivated fans with its atmosphere.

In Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy, you will venture into the forgotten Latin American country, Amerzone. The journey is built around mysterious Great White Birds, inspired by a late explorer's final wish. As you traverse through eerie environments and solve puzzles, you'll engage with intriguing characters, each with their own compelling backstory.

Charles Leveugle, Microids' Brand Manager, shared why they decided to remake Amerzone:

"For us, simply making a remaster would not have been enough of a tribute for Amerzone’s 25th anniversary”, Charles continued. “A remake gives us the opportunity to make a vivid experience even richer, without betraying the original episode.”

The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC later this year and you can already wishlist it on Steam now.
